Here is a brief introduction to Sendoh's teammates in Team Ryonan, including his instructor/benefactor. Enjoy reading!

Moichi Taoka

Without the insightful recruitment by Director Taoka, Sendoh would not have been a part of Team Ryonan at all. In spite of Mr. Taoka's fierce basketball-loving spirit that could drive his pupils insane sometimes (remember the scene of Fukuda achoo-ing him? *laugh*), it is plain to be seen that Sendoh would not have grown into such a wonderful player as he is today without Mr. Taoka's concentrated trainings and constant care.

Jun Uozumi

The tallest basketball player in Kanagawa League, "Big Jun" might not seem much of a captain in front of the talented Sendoh but is nevertheless an important influence on Sendoh's high school basketball career. I personally enjoyed the many pair-ups between Sendoh and Uozumi during various matches very much: they sure know how to draw out the full potential of one other by acting on the same line.

Kiccho Fukuda

Even though Fukuda is in the same year as Sendoh, the former has received a much later recognition on Kanagawa courts due to his proud nature (he once offended his coach during a match and got banned from the team temporarily). With an extremely strong sense of rivalry towards players better than himself (such as Sendoh), Fukuda as a Power Forward sure has added much flavor to Sendoh's play - the latter can now better focus on his role as a Point Guard without worrying about who'll get the ball in.

Hikoichi Aida

In general, Sendoh is well-respected by all of his teammates; however, Hikoichi might as well be the only one who worships the ground Sendoh walks on (along with Yayoi, his sister). While some people might find Hikoichi's fanboy screams a bit too crazy at times (laugh), Sendoh seems to be rather fond of his little underclassman - not only because of his endless praise, of course ;) At the same time, it is Hikoichi who would explain Sendoh's many beautiful moves in details to Slam Dunk readers/watchers - which proves to be a rather nifty aid to basketball newbies throughout the series.

Hiroaki Koshino

Koshino would take the lead of Ryonan's "not as famous" group in the series of Slam Dunk, though I've always found him a rather attractive man. If we're talking about a player who hates to lose, there's probably nobody who could exceed Koshino's level of such in Team Ryonan - for the better of his teammates, so to speak. Seemingly a good friend of Sendoh, Koshino's potential as a Shooting Guard is often drawn out to its maximum with Sendoh's swift passes around, making them another lovely combo on court.

Ryoji Ikegami

Third Year player Ikegami is very well-known for his defense skills in the Kanagawa basketball league. While not many scenes of open interaction between him and Sendoh was shown in the manga/anime, it's always been a silent comfort and encouragement to see Ikegami quietly supporting Sendoh's genius play in the background.

Tomoyuki Uekusa

Frankly speaking, I feel bad for having very little to say about Uekusa. I'm sure he is a great player (or how could he make it into Ryonan's regulars?), though it is undeniable that all of his teammates are given more screen time and whatnot - even including the "notebook" Hikoichi! As a result, the few scenes we've seen him together with Sendoh have been quite brief.
